In plain words
- MedSocio is only for doctors and medical students whose identity we have checked.
- Patients must never be identifiable in anything you share. Ever.
- MedSocio supports your clinical judgement. It never replaces it, and every clinical decision remains yours.
- Your account is personal. Treat every member with the respect you would show a colleague.
- Belonging is free. Premium is optional, and you can cancel at any time.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below is what applies.
1About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and MedSocio HealthTech Private Limited ("MedSocio", "we", "us" or "our"), a company incorporated in India. They govern your use of the MedSocio website, mobile applications and related services (together, the "Platform").
These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Medical Disclaimer, Cookie Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, each of which forms part of these Terms.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2Who can join
MedSocio is a closed professional community. You may create an account only if you are:
- a medical practitioner holding a valid registration with the National Medical Commission or a State Medical Council; or
- a student currently enrolled in a medical course at a recognised institution, including interns.
You must be at least 18 years old. If you are a medical student under 18, you may join only with the verifiable consent of your parent or lawful guardian, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
The Platform is not intended for patients or the general public. We may decline or withdraw membership where eligibility cannot be confirmed.
3Identity verification and your badge
To keep the community genuine, every member goes through a three-step identity check: your registration details (or student enrolment details) are checked, your profile is reviewed with the help of AI, and a member of our team then reviews it personally. The final decision is always made by a person.
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information, and to keep it up to date.
- You authorise us to check the details you provide against official registers and records.
- The badge is free. It confirms your identity and registration status only. It is not an endorsement of your clinical skills or of the opinions you share.
- You must tell us promptly if your registration is suspended, cancelled or lapses. We may remove the badge, or suspend your account, if your registration status changes or if information you provided proves to be false.
4Your account
- Your account is for you alone. You may not share it, transfer it or allow anyone else to use it.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us immediately at support if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5Patient confidentiality
Protecting patients is the foundation of this community. When you share any clinical content, including case discussions, images, investigation reports and comments, you must:
- remove every detail that could identify a patient, directly or indirectly, including names, faces, hospital or registration numbers, addresses, contact details, dates that could identify a person, and rare or distinctive features;
- crop or blur images and remove embedded metadata before uploading;
- obtain the patient's consent wherever the law or your professional regulations require it; and
- follow the codes of medical ethics and professional conduct that apply to you, including those of the National Medical Commission and your State Medical Council.
You are solely responsible for the clinical content you share. We may remove any content that we believe could identify a patient, without notice.
6Case discussions and second opinions
Case discussions on MedSocio are a peer-to-peer professional and educational exchange between doctors and medical students.
- No doctor–patient relationship is created between any member and any patient through the Platform.
- Opinions shared are the personal views of individual members, offered in good faith. MedSocio does not verify, endorse or guarantee them.
- The treating doctor remains fully and solely responsible for the diagnosis, treatment and care of their patient.
- The Platform is not designed for emergencies. Never delay urgent care while waiting for a response.
7AI Diagnostic Assist and clinical tools
AI Diagnostic Assist and our clinical tools (including the drug interaction checker, lab value interpreter, dosage calculator, discharge summary templates and ICD-10 code finder) are educational decision-support tools for qualified professionals.
- They are not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and they are not a substitute for your clinical judgement.
- Outputs may be incomplete, out of date or wrong. You must independently verify every suggestion, dose, interaction, code and template against authoritative sources before relying on it.
- Do not enter names or any other information that could identify a patient.
Please also read our Medical Disclaimer.
8Test preparation content
- Questions, explanations, mock tests and analytics are provided for your personal, non-commercial preparation.
- Rank predictions and percentiles are estimates. We do not guarantee any exam result, rank or admission.
- You may not copy, record, sell, publish or redistribute our question banks or test content.
9Your content
You keep ownership of the content you post. By posting, you grant MedSocio a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, display, reproduce and distribute it on the Platform, and to use it to operate, secure and improve our services. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where others have already re-shared it with your permission, or where we must retain it by law.
You confirm that you have all the rights and consents needed to share what you post, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
10Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Platform to:
- impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your qualifications, registration or affiliations;
- advertise or promote products, services or practices, or solicit patients, in breach of professional conduct regulations;
- share content that could identify a patient, or that you do not have the right to share;
- harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone, or share hateful, obscene or sexually explicit material;
- knowingly spread medical misinformation or content that contradicts established evidence in a way that could cause harm;
- share leaked or confidential examination papers, or questions from examinations in progress;
- scrape, copy or harvest data, reverse-engineer the Platform, introduce malicious code, or bypass our security or verification; or
- do anything unlawful, including anything prohibited under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
Our Community Guidelines explain these expectations in more detail.

12Intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, brand, logos, question banks, explanations, templates and other content we create, belongs to MedSocio or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the Platform in line with these Terms. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you.
13Reporting content and grievances
You can report any post, comment, message or profile using the report option on the Platform. We review reports promptly and act in line with these Terms and applicable law.

14Suspension and termination
We may warn you, remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your registration status changes, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your use puts patients, members or the Platform at risk. Where appropriate, we will tell you why and give you an opportunity to respond.
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Some information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
15Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any content, including content posted by members and outputs of AI and clinical tools, or that the Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
16Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- MedSocio is not liable for any clinical decision, diagnosis, treatment or outcome, or for any reliance on content, opinions or tool outputs available on the Platform;
- MedSocio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill; and
- our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
17Indemnity
You agree to indemnify MedSocio, its directors, employees and partners against any claims, losses or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, the content you share, or your violation of any law or of any patient's or third party's rights.
18Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you on the Platform or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Platform after the changes take effect means you accept them.
19Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve any concern informally. Subject to that, the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
